SPANISH NATIONALITY

This artistic research is part of the avant-garde trend of post-vandalism. Through direct actions and through some typical uses of contemporary photography, the criticism of the regulations established on identifying images will be developed. The proposal seeks to question homogenizing stipulations, promote individual freedom, parody the weakness of national security and demonstrate the incompetence of police protocols. The objective is the on-site approach to the social and gender issues that generate and accentuate control policies, which in many cases are arbitrary and incredulous. Solà's proposal claims the right to self-definition and stands as an act of resistance to the control devices of "Spanish nationality".
